At some point in 2009 with the first being in June – at least as it currently stands – Samsung will be launching 3 Android Phones. After seeing blurry pictures of the first we now might know more about the second as a European Retailer just included the Samsung S8000 on its website with mention of the device running Android.
On the Russian website Euroset.ru they put the Samsung S800 up for pre-rder and included some delicious details including a 5MP camera with LED Flash, 3.1 Inch AMOLED display, WVGA resolution, 16 Million colors, FM Radio with RDS, 2GB internal memory, MicroSD slot and 3.5mm headphone jack. Connectivity includes WiFi, GPS with A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 and USB.
The “Cube” in the middle of the call and end buttons might hint at what has taken Samsung so long to get their first Android device out there – it lends the concept that Samsung’s 3D cube-like UI will be integrated into the OS, something that may have taken a long time to properly and seamlessly execute.
Originally posed for pre-order at 470 euro, the Samsung S8000 has since been taken down.

It’s not an Android phone, unfortunately. Google translate got it wrong. See here: http://www.androphones.com/samsung-s8000-android-phone-37.html
@Silver
Assuming you are correct, I don’t know why these companies waste time on custom OSes, when they can use Android & probably get 100x the sales. Perhaps we can hope that a version of this device is delivered with Android. It could be pretty cool.
This UI is true copy! Samsung lacks originality – LG has KM900 Arena with Cube like UI, LOL.
@hereandnow
Because they can cut down on features if their hardware is not up to scratch..
@Mickey:
I have a cube on my Linux desktop since…
.. I can’t remember really.
LG lacks originality.
