We just learned that the Huawei U8230 would be the first official Android Phone from the company available to consumers and now we’ve got a carrier and a timeframe tacked on as well. T-Mobile has always been rumored as the suitor for Huawei’s Android device and now that is confirmed, PCWorld reports:
T-Mobile will release a smartphone running Google’s Android operating system in Europe in the late third quarter, the phone’s Chinese manufacturer, Huawei Technologies, said Thursday.
The article indicates that the phone will work with UMTS 3G technology and it will likely be available in other parts of Europe and possibly on China Unicom in China this fall as well. Third quarter is composed of July, August and September so we’ll see this bad boy before October begins.
