Sometimes doing a little digging can result in a lot of good – in this case it appears the first LG Android Phone has been uncovered from LG’s own website! A quick peek at a User Agent Profile XML URL (found here) for the LG GW620 indeed shows that a QWERTY device with a 320×480 pixel screen, HSDPA, UMTS and WiFi is in the works:
LG has promised 3 Android Phones in 2009 so 2 more must be hiding somewhere. The company has made some amazingly bold claims lately, recently saying they will become the #2 phone maker by 2012, a move that would require they surpass Samsung. We know Samsung already has the Galaxy… I would LOVE to see an arms race between these two high powered manufacturers that results in a escalating Android vs. Android powerhouses going head to head.
This is the type of competition that will help bring Android to the next level. Now… lets continue that digging…

I want to see it. Who’s got pics?
i want to see a feature war too.
the first one to offer UMA calling gets to be my second android phone and most likely, the last phone i’ll need as long as they keep updating.

SHHH!!!! If the carriers figure that out, they’ll never issue an update ever again! :-)
