Nexus One Coming To Vodafone ‘in a few short weeks’

Here’s some news bound to excite those drooling over the Nexus One in Europe, specifically the UK for now. A Vodafone spokeswoman said:

“I can confirm that Vodafone is the first operator to partner with Google to offer the Nexus One in Europe, starting soon in the UK, in a few short weeks”

Yes! Only a “Few short weeks”. Vodafone also goes on to confirm they are “in early discussions with Google” to introduce the offer of selling Google’s new gadget in France, Germany, Spain and more European countries later in 2010.

UK customers will have the option to buy the phone subsidised with a Vodafone Contract or buy it directly from Google’s web store. No confirmed details on pricing or release date have yet been been made but we will find out in a few weeks. It’s also worth noting that various news is circling the world wide web saying Google has also been in talks with other UK operators including T-mobile, Network 3 and O2 so we may see these networks also announcing the selling of the Nexus One shortly. Good news as people could potentially have a wide choice of operators and can even stir up a bit of competition price wise.

It’s a shame my mobile contract for my HTC Magic doesn’t end until 2011 otherwise I would snap one of these up in an instant! 8)

P.S Slightly off topic but check out this video of a GIANT N1 at Google’s conference yesterday:

You got to have some pretty deep pockets if you plan to carry this around :D
