Urbanspoon Comes To Droid and Nexus One

We just got an email from Urbanspoon about the launch of their new application for Android. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Urbanspoon is a restaurant slot machine application that we have already seen on the iPhone. It uses the accelerometer of the device so that all you need to do is shake the phone and the slot machine wheels spin until they settle on a restaurant nearby. Urbanspoon has expressed their excitement in working with Android devices because:

The big screen lets us show lots of detail.

Search is right at the top, and works instantly.

Nearby restaurants and other goodies are in the menu.

Did we mention that it’s blazingly fast?

Currebtly, Urbanspoon only works on Droid and Nexus One, and hopefully will come to others soon. They currently instruct other Android device users to go to their mobile site: urbanspoon.com/m. Seeing as how I am currently snowed in because of round 2 of this east coast blizzard, as soon as I can get out I plan on using Urbanspoon to try some new restaurants in my area. Anyone else excited for this app?
