By The Alcatel OT-9880 isn’t the flashiest Android Phone with the most killer specs but it DEFINITELY stands out and if you ask us, it’s because of the undeniable resemblance to the Palm Pre. We first saw this phone on February 1st and now we’re getting a release timeframe: May in the UK.
The phone is supposedly quick and responsive which makes up for its lack of specs. And oh yeah, this will come with Android 1.6 when it launches but Alcatel reps said it will be upgradeable to Android 2.1 a few months after launch.

I’m not into this particular model but I’d love to see a phone with specs like the Nexus One plus a portrait slide out. It’s a great form factor and would also feel comfortable to BlackBerry users.
Its nice to see a new form factor, but the bright red is questionable. Still though, great for buisnessy people
if it were all black it would look pretty good. it did look really responsive in the video and does bring some variety to android phones
