Interested in the Kyocera Zio, the company’s first Android phone, destined to hit American shelves sometime this year? Then you’ll want to check out this video from MobileBurn that touches on the specs while giving the device a whirl:
It’s noted that the phone is not only thin but extremely light, weighing in at only 105 grams. It has s decent/mid-range set of specs running on Android 1.6 and with CDMA connectivity we would expect it to land on Sprint, Verizon, Boost Mobile, Cricket or another small regional carrier. As soon as a carrier is leaked, rumored or announced we’ll let you know!
UPDATE: Engadget just put up their video and don’t seem as friendly in terms of conclusions saying “you get what you pay for”.
Just gonna make my wildly-un-scientific/speculative prediction here: I’m going to say Cricket Wireless. Not as an exclusive, but I know a few folks with Cricket service, they seem to have a lot of Kyocera handsets, and this just screams Cricket to me. That’s my guess, and honestly, for that type of carrier, I think this device is pretty good. Let’s get as many people we can holding little green robots.
I’m sorry, but this site should be 24/7 HTC Evo news from here on out (j/k)
@ Jo – Everyone is forgetting the Desire… Its nearly just as good ;)
Bah. Bought my Nexus One last week and it’s already being marginalized. :'(
By the other devices in this comment area, not the one that’s the focus of this article :P
