With all the buzz surrounding the HTC Incredible and everything that it’ll bring with it, it’s easy to forget there are other phones out there needing some loving, too. The hottest phone set to come out this summer, Sprint’s HTC EVO 4G, will come with a healthy set of accessories for its owners to play with on or soon after its release.
Besides your usual “one size fits all” assortment of add-ons (bluetooth headsets and headphones, car chargers, etc), the EVO will enjoy its own selection of specialized accessories to make your life esaier. A car mount will be particularly useful when using the latest Google Maps that comes standard with turn-by-turn directions. An HDMI video dock will make it even easier for you to watch all of your high definition video content on any external source with an HDMI-in port. There’s even your obligatory assortments of cases and screen protectors that will serve their purpose in customizing the phone how you want to.
Courtesy of engadget, point your browser here for the full slideshow of product features, details, and accessories to whet your appetite and, if you’re anything like me, you’ll get a kick out of the fact that an iPhone and matching case were used in one of the slides. Surely the marketing gurus at Sprint didn’t forget that, besides the fact this is indeed an HTC phone and not an Apple phone, there aren’t any Apple products near close to being launched on Sprint (or is there?)
Ponder that one for yourselves, but we’re just going to keep focusing on the EVO and everything that tags along with it.
The Incredible Cant Compete with this phone….
With that said, most of these accessories are similar to what the HD2 currently has. I expect the pricing to be similar. Though this may be the first phone ill ever buy with a dock/cradle…For a phone that will probably hit $299 with a Contract….no way im getting the Car Mount.
really? It is essentially the same phone, but a little bit bigger with 4.3″ vs. 3.7″ screen. But Incredible will have an AMOLED screen Vs. LCD for the EVO… add in the internal 8GBs for the Inc and the EVO is left with the HDMI output and WiMax 4G ability. Which is the top technology right now, well until ATT and VZW roll out the LTE and maybe catch some real 4G phones next summer.
I cant wait for this phone. HURRY UP HTC AND SPRINT I NEED THIS PHONE NOW!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!
Now can we have some accessories for the Desire please?
I know! They need to hurry it up. I’m tired of T-Mobile and their never ending screw ups.
I am mentally in line for this phone already. Given the history of VZW being the first with new phones I don’t see VZW coming out with a phone for their own LTE until it’s been proven by their standards, but then again remember when they rolled out the first Storm and all of it problems. Why would a company rollout a device knowing it had issues!
The Evo is not the same phone as the incredible! What are you smoking? Let me sum up what you’re missing. Forward camera, Hd recording with hdmi out, wireless hotspot, bigger screen, bigger battery, 4g, kickstand. The incredible pales in comparison. Please stop hating, it’s embarrassing.
The EVO is sure to be an amazing phone. In my opinion, I will be the first true iphone killer. The opnly thing that could have been done to this phone to step it up would have been to put and AMOLED screen. I gotten used to this screen quality in my Moment. Other than that I can’t wait to get one.
hello, i was wondering..will the evo be out in other countries as well? or just in the U.S?
I saw CNET’s review on incredible (good review):

They mention the EVO too, and yes I’m waiting for 4G and a bigger screen baby!!! Finally 4G!!! I’m actually changing providers to get this phone (EVO on Sprint) after much anticipation. If they say the Incredible is fast then the Evo must scream on a network 10,000 x times faster the 3G!!!
Finally a real device!!! I’m barely squeaking by with my old ass Curve with T-mobile as I was waiting for my contract to burn out to switch over for a descent 4G device. Screw anything 3G..that’s like buying a horse and buggy when you can have a Ferrari to get around in sitting right next to it as the technology is here people!!! Good bye iPhone and the Socialist Republic of AT&T … your days are numbered… tick tock….
I’m naming my Evo Jesus!!!!
