When one of the hottest handsets alive (the HTC Incredible) is about to land on America’s largest carriers (Verizon aka Big Red), there is something they’ll absolutely want their employees and sales staff to be: prepared. And if the below picture is any indication, they’ve begun preparing.
We’ve snipped a bit of the screenshot above to protect our souce, but as you can clearly see, Verizon will soon begin training its employees with a 1-hour webinar for SMEs (Subject Matter Experts). It clearly identifies a “New HTC Smartphone (Android OS)” and the timing is “Week of April TBD”. Keep in mind this timeframe is for the WEBINAR not for the launch date, but its just one more bit of evidence confirming the wait is coming down to the wire.
Boy oh boy would we love to be in on that webinar conference call…

“but its just one more bit of evidence confirming the wait is coming down to the wire.”
…or yet another meaningless piece of propaganda leading to…nothing. Well except for people getting excited that Verizon will actually make this official and people commenting about it and the more…nothing.
But whatever. Enjoy your screenshot.
It’s ok. When your contract at AT&T runs out you can get rid of your iPhone and then get a N1, Droid, Incredible or whatever high end Android device you would like on whichever carrier you choose. kthxbye
I love it how everyone but the Customers are in the know. Rediculous!!!
This training has to be better then what AT&T had for the backflip. My mother-in-law was getting one, and I was explaining the differences and the details about the phone to the salesguy… They knew NOTHING about android.
When is the WEBINAR scheduled for? When is the next HTC or Verizon conference?
Looks like 30 min webinar not 1 hour.
Oh I see (below)never mind
@Darkseider I am on Verizon and my contract expired in November. But am tired of waiting, I don’t think asking for at least a REAL announcement and a REAL release date is too much. Guess rumors are enough for you.
“and then get a N1, Droid, Incredible or whatever high end Android device you would like on whichever carrier you choose. kthxbye”
and…wrong. you can not get the N1, Droid, Incredible or whatever high end Android device you would like on whichever carrier you choose.
I will be in that Webinar and can’t wait
@enoughAlready Couldn’t care less. I have a Droid.
Big Red has sent handsets out to their advertising firms as models for their TV commercials. I had an Incredible in my hands yesterday, it’s quite nice…. but I prefer the physical keyboard.
BTW, if you are an alltel customer with an alltel phone, as of April 9th you can go to the store and do an upgrade no matter when your contract ends, and if you go to a smartphone IE the Incredible or DROID, you get an instant rebate in the store automatically. Pretty good opportunity, and I’m the SME for my store for the Incredible and we havent gotten anything besides the webinar email so far.
