Now that the cats out of the bag, there isn’t much more to be learned about the HTC Droid Incredible itself. We know that it is coming the 29th of April and can be pre-ordered on the 19th, and we know that it will be $199.99 with a new 2-year contract on Verizon. But now we have an exclusive look at the HTC Incredible internal launch package detailing the phones specs, a plethora of accessories, and a rather hilarious look at the target customer for the HTC Incredible.
Now if that just isn’t the spitting image of the type of people that frequent the HTC Incredible Forum over at AndroidForums, I don’t know what is!
It looks like future Incredible owners will have plenty of options in the accessories department, and while most shown are generic Bluetooth and headphone devices, there are quite a few case options and holsters that will be available for this phone. Also post-launch, users can expect a desktop charging cradle and extended battery to become available.
Go take a peak at the document for yourself and let us know how you feel about Verizon’s stereotyping of you, the beloved HTC Incredible fans!

Actually, it DOES tell us something. The PDF shows the memory is an 8gb pre-installed microsd card, so I was correct (but wish I was wrong).
I dunno about you, but this phone is EXACTLY what I want, and I think the description of their target consumer fits me pretty well. It’s a phone that can be serious while still being fun.
Man ya’ll aren’t lettin me get any work done today. lol
I saw that it said pre-installed too. I hope it is wrong. That is very shady of them saying it has 8gb of internal memory instead of saying it comes with a 8gb memory card. big difference.
I liked that pdf thanks for the upload!
Jeesh! Forums are locked up. People discover the “8gb built-in” myth? ;)
@phil
lol same here. I haven’t done a single thing today at work. I was even on a one hour conference call that I wasn’t paying attention to, hope they didn’t cover anything important….
I feel (bittersweet though) vindicated, since I suggested several times the reason for the contradicting info was the Inc was probably pre-installed with a 8gb microsd.
Makes far more sense to not have 8gb built in than to have it.
Ha. Good to know I just eeked into the target age range. Otherwise, I guess that I should be looking to get a Jitterbug.
TV out! TV out!
The guy is grabbin his crouch while a long penis shaped car is coming out of his pants……lol
EVO fanboys will now gloat- no 8gb built in.
Well, guess that does it for me. Since I’m over the target demographic,(58) guess I’ll just settle for my old Nokia flip-phone.
Dang it. Life’s so unfair. Only the younger folks get to use and enjoy this phone. Oh well…
Wonder what the target demo is for the soon-to-be-released Sprint Evo 4G?
BTW, looks like the dude in the pic REALLY luvs that car ;)
Actually it is 8gb internal AND has a microSD slot.
Guys,
IT DOES HAVE 8GB BUILT IN. Just doesn’t say it up there, but in the promotional email verizon sent to those to gave their email for updates, it CLEARLY states there is 8gb BUILT IN the device. :) CONFIRMED.
where are you all seeing the memory is not 8GB internal memory. it says 8GB internal flash memory. am i missing something here?
8gb INTERNAL *passes out*
Soooo since no one over in the Official Inc Thread will answer me, maybe I can get an answer here:
MULTITOUCH QUESTION: What are the chances that the keyboard will have true multitouch? (In other words, I press down a letter with one finger, leave my finger on that letter, and with a different finger start pushing different letters: if it’s like the Droid, it’ll just repeatedly type the 1st letter that I have left my finger on. In other words: will the keyboard work the same way the iGag’s keyboard does?)
Please please please say it has true multitouch! Also, please don’t tell me about Swype or some alternative; I already know they exist.
If this has already been answered, I apologize: I’ve been trying to keep up on this thread, but I am bound to miss some stuff.
Thanks.
I probably could’ve just posted the link to my post… –> http://androidforums.com/htc-incredible/42916-official-htc-incredible-thread-750.html#post571476
Is this correct?
“Up to 16GB of optional microSD support”
I thought it was going to have 32GB capacity.
Some people are still adamant Inc has the 8gb internal, so another spec wrong or contradicting? What funny mushrooms did their marketing accidentally eat with there salads? ;)
If a device supports 16gb, 32gb will work too. Spec was probably based on the largest they had to test at the time.
I think I’ll frieze myself and ask my friends to defrost me on the 29th…
Also…. Wifi a/b/g included.
Where is the wireless “n” standard on this phone?
Is there Wifi “n” on the incredible?
Where is a good place to find out if we can get the phones rooted?
Hm, it says the car mount does NOT automatically turn on the car app when the phone is placed into it?
That’s… stupid. Why wouldn’t it?
I think the a/b/g is a mistake. The original specs I saw had b/g/n. They don’t mention VPN, which I’m looking forward to. But lastly, I feel the 8GB internal memory is just that, internal. The instructions only mention putting in the card, they don’t say you have to remove the old one to put a new one in. This leads to the problem that you could have as much as 40GB with a 32GB card, but the unit only recognizing the first 32GB.
Rest assured, I’ll be one of the first at our Verizon store on the 29th.
No wonder it doesn’t appeal to me.
that marketing photo has me considering holding out for the completely fabled LG aloha… or moving to south korea?
From a VZW rep
“There is also a ton of memory inside – we’re talking 8 GB of internal memory. That’s more power than an average laptop had just a few years ago!”
Seems clear to me…

Ya know what’s funny… Monday – called VZW and asked about my bill. When asked if I had any other questions I asked about the Incredible. I was told sorry I don’t have any info. Then it pops up two days later lol!
“Now if that just isn’t the spitting image of the type of people that frequent the HTC Incredible Forum over at AndroidForums, I don’t know what is!”
Subtle marketing – Dude is jerking off his “car”…
Forget the car…what is he doing with the hi-heel shoe and where is the other one?
All you who say it doesn’t have 8GB internal are blind.
5th item listed in Features – “8GB Internal Memory”
15th item listed in Features – “Up to 16GB of optional microSD support”
Two different/distinct items, plus one is specifically “internal” and one is “optional.” It doesn’t say “8GB upgradable to 16GB by changing the microSD card.”
I don’t know if it’s just me, but why can’t I see the launch package when I click on the link?? Anyone else having troubles seeing it? When I’m over on the forums it says I “don’t have permission to access this page”…WTF??!!!?? I want to see all the accessories you’re all talking about!
On April 10 I was eligible for an upgrade. That week I called Verizon and inquired about the HTC Incredible coming out. The person told me she could not confirm nor deny that phone, but not to do an upgrade. Depended on where you called.
