By Probably the entity to make the smallest splash of the huge Dell leaks we were treated to yesterday, the Dell Aero will still get its chance to wow and impress you. While it definitely doesn’t achieve either of those things, we’re still happy that some of its specs are finally beginning to come together.
It has a 3.5-inch touchscreen, a 624mhz Marvell (who?) processor, and will come preloaded with Android 1.5 – Dell plans to update this to 2.1 sometime in Q3 or Q4. Dell seems to be adding a lot of cool stuff to the phone software wise out of the box, including QuickOffice, an enhanced media experience, an aggregated social networking experience, and a lot more

Marvell is a company making some sick processors for phones now. They are located right around the corner from a former Intel Plant. Still, I hope they have something faster than 624mhz.
That’s a beautiful screen and weather widget. Hopefully N1 will get a nice weather app to bring it up to par with the phone…
Based on what I have seen of this phone the UI is pure crap.
Too bad it has a Marvell processor. Major bummer, Marvell is pretty much making garbage these days. They can barely support the mobile division they purchased from Intel. Especially when all the Intel engineers flipped Marvell the bird when they bought the division and left.
Big mistake Dell.

Android 1.5? WTF?
I’m looking to upgrade to Android from my Blackberry curve so I don’t understand. Why are not all new Android phones just built with at least Android 2.1?
