I wanted to try and find a play on those old “Dude, you’re getting a Dell!” ads with the title of this post, but it didn’t quite work out. Instead, let’s get down to business: AT&T will officially be getting the Dell Streak 5. The news comes to us as Michael Dell – founder and CEO – confirmed the handset’s initial carriers by way of a fast mouth at the Citrix Synergy conference in good ol’ San Francisco.
“This will be available starting next month, first with our partner 02 Telefonica in Europe, then later this summer with our pretty good partner here in the United States, AT&T,”
Telefonica O2 will be seeing the sought-after device sometime this June, with AT&T getting its version later on in the summer. Pretty good news for those looking for a phone/MID hybrid device. The 5-inch screen that the Streak 5 sports isn’t the most ideal for a phone, but paired with a bluetooth headset I’m sure this one will get many people excited.
Granted AT&T doesn’t lock this device down, will you be in line to get one when it lands for the carrier?
