For those that aren’t complete smartphone nuts, they may be familiar with Samsung’s “Corby” brand of phones: a suite of feature-phones tailored for the low-end user. If PuntoCellulare is to be trusted, then Samsung’s ready to cross that very clear line with introducing an Android-based Corby phone, the Samsung Corby i5500.
It’d be running Android 2.1, will come equipped with WiFi, 3G, and Bluetooth, and a (possible 3-megapixel) camera. This device flew under our radar as it was approved by the FCC and given its WiFi certification, but now that we’ve learned it may be an Android phone, we’re going to stay all over it.
