By Ah yes, the good ol’ “About Phone” screen that we’ve all come to know and love. The reason we treat these rumors without much excitement is because we all know how easy it is to edit files in Android’s firmware to change what the “About Phone” screen says. It’s easy to fake an Android 2.1 screen, and it’s happened way too many times in the past.
Still, we feel the need to report on this latest finding that shows a version of MOTOBLUR (some believe it to be from the Motorola CLIQ, specifically) running on top of Android 2.1. The screenshot was reported by Android Community who received it through a tipster. I’d really like for this to be true so our MOTOBLUR brethren can get up to speed with where most other handsets are today (besides the obvious Froyo candidate – the Google Nexus One – that should be receiving the update sometime very soon).
Freakin’ Q3 for the Backflip’s 2.1 update. My wife is gonna be pestering me non-stop until she gets it. Ugh. You would think that once MotoBlur vXXX runs on Android 2.1 it shouldn’t take MONTHS to get it out to the few devices that run MotoBlur. Seeing that the majority of them have nearly identical hardware.
I can’t wait!
Well one thing I did notice at the top is it has the New 2.1 Message Notification Envelope and second the Wifi Symbol looks differnet too. so it might have validity
IF it is fake,the faker did some MetaMorphing……the Gmail is from the 2.1 Gmail app…..I hope this gets leaked,new radio and all.

Its fake on the Cliq the 2 lines under Phone Status are different. Just my opinion hope I am wrong.
In fact I just noticed all the lines are different, they are not a solid color all the way across. I say its a photoshop

Agree with raymond. Being a cliq owner I hate to admit it but I think it’s fake. I just checked. I hope it does roll out very soon though. We are due for this update its now June.
