Rogers Now Offering the Acer Liquid e

8

Not even a week ago, we learned Rogers began training their employees on the Acer Liquid e that was rumored to launch for the carrier. Today, they’ve announced the availability of the phone for $49.99 on a three year voice and data plan with a minimum monthly service fee of $45.

Rogers has also announced they’ll be carrying the device exclusively, which is probably what that “e” stands for (or maybe not, but it would still be fitting). We’re not sure if the newly announced “Ferrari” edition will be going to Rogers, as well, but it’s something to ponder if you like what that phone has to offer.

The Liquid e features a 3.5″ touchscreen and runs Android 2.1. It also has a 5-megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS, and the ability to view high-definition videos. It’s also a recognized member of the “Social View” line of smartphones that Rogers offers, which gives you all the tools you need to keep up with your friends and family wherever they are.

Grab your own now by heading to Rogers today.

  5. It’s all good and everything, but what training do the Rogers staff need on a handset that runs stock Android? Surely the training can’t extend much beyond a piece of paper with the hardware specs on?

Anyone who works in a phone shop shed some light?

  6. The “e” stands for “Eclair”, by the way. As opposed to the standard “Acer Liquid” (no “e”), which is as of yet is still running Donut.

  7. It’s mine. I am getting one for sure.

  8. I use it on T-Mobile USA, only EDGE data speeds though. But I was planning to just use it on prepaid with wifi for data anyway.
