Google Music to Launch Concurrently with Android 3.0 at End of Year

Many of the killer features that Google Music will offer (stream to device playback and push downloads come to mind) go hand-in-hand with the Android 3.0 (Gingerbread) features previewed at Google I/O. It only makes sense that the two would see a concurrent launch, and that’s just what Android product manager Gaurav Jain is saying. Dan Morrill squashed the recent Gingerbread rumors floating around, and part of that includes an October release. I suppose it’s still possible, but we agree that that timeframe might be a little soon. Expect to see both Google Music and Android 3.0 launched closer to the holiday season or early 2011.
