With a 2.8″ QVGA screen running Android 2.2, I doubt the ARCHOS A28 will be marketed as anything but a PMP or MID. Following on the heels of the ARCHOS 32, the ARCHOS A28 minidroid just passed the FCC and signs are pointing away from this being a phone or tablet. I suppose that depends on your definition of tablet but 2.8 inches doesn’t cut it for me.
Those nice governmental folks were kind enough to include a bunch of pictures of the device:
The MiniDroid will also come with 8GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headset jack and well, for the rest of it, you can read along on the complete User’s Manual that is found at the FCC site.

Too small…
Breathtaking. I shall call him… Mini-Droid
price it at $100 and you got me buying.
Looks to me like a focused media player geared to take advantage of cloud media services…
…..that would rival the zune and most importantly the ithouch
I’d like to see something this size with GPS for running/biking apps…
