Rumor mill’s a-spinnin’! The latest out of Magenta suggests that the MyTouch HD could be headed our way November 3rd. That puts it almost exactly 2 months out of reach, but it might be worth the wait if the G2 isn’t everything you thought it’d be (and we know many of you on the original G1 will be long overdue for an upgrade by then). Nothing to confirm, though, but it came from TmoNews‘ trusted source – and they have definitely proven to be trustworthy – so we’ll roll with it.
Hope the G2 is better :)
Just another phone trying to be the iPhone.
fuck you Bert………that is all
bert yet another brainless apple fanboi zombie. What are you doing in android fan blog, you cheapskate.
Bert…in what way is the iPhone better? Try and explain that!
@Bert
Because it prints F(*&!ing money. It grants you three wishes, even if one of those wishes is for a F(*&!ing iPhone…
@Jeremy…Not that I want to defend Bert but all he said was that it was “trying to be the iPhone.” He didnt state that the iPhone was better.
That being said, Bert, how is the G2 “trying to be” the iPhone? Explain.
Any phone that has flash wins. I’d honestly consider an iphone. The 720 recording has 30 fps but is somehow way better than my rooted nexus’s 720, and its ui is incredibly smooth and pleasing to the eye. But it doesn’t have flash, it wont let you utilize a huge portion of the internet. So how could anybody want that miserable experience? Moving on, I’m not holding my breath for the g2 or HD to have impressive specs, this is t-mobile we are talking about. The only reason they allowed the Samsung is because every competitor was on that wagon. I’m sure they hated not waiting 7 months before offering such competitve specs to their customer
I want nice replacement of my G1! It should have qwerty keyboard, camera with flash, front facing camera, min 512MB RAM and 1GHz CPU. Is it so difficult to develop something like that?!
I hope this is not Emerald because there is no way a new Mytouch branded phone will have Stock Android. Didn’t Google say that a device would launch with Gingerbread this year, if so it isn’t possible to have a device with a skin on top of Gingerbread this year so it has to have stock. That means that it also isn’t Motorola’s tablet because they said it would take them a couple of months to adjust to Gingerbread which means the are running a skin on their tablet. I still hope that someone releases a Nexus One successor with stock Gingerbread this year or I won’t be upgrading.
It should have been noted, that this “photo” is not the real thing.. I give it another 10-13 days or so and maybe we might see what it will really look like, which is probably closer to that phone we saw a few days ago that was rumored to go to Verizon.
Can we go over some basics here…
1. Touch input based smartphones have been around longer than the iPhone and android have existed
2. iPhones were the innovator in the multi-media touch based smartphone for the average consumer and subsequently the benchmark
3. Without apple having pushed the envelope of what a smartphone could be and do we would not be where we are now
4. Most android software engineers and hardware manufacturers are trying to push innovation even further
5. this competition of who can bring the best and most consumer friendly product to the marketplace is exactly what is needed to increase development and growth
In short (and the words of Rodney King)….
“People, I just want to say, you know, can we all get along? Can we get along? Can we stop making it, making it horrible for the older people and the kids?…It’s just not right. It’s not right. It’s not, it’s not going to change anything. We’ll, we’ll get our justice….Please, we can get along here. We all can get along. I mean, we’re all stuck here for a while. Let’s try to work it out. Let’s try to beat it. Let’s try to beat it. Let’s try to work it out.”
I really dont see how this phone is trying to be the iphone. It looks nothing like it.
and
Not to defend the iphoney, but we gotta admit it has certain great qualities an android phone can use
This pisses me off. why cant that mysterious “verizon” phone be for tmo. This mytouch hd looks like a plastic piece of shit
htc glacier, where are youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
@Keller, lawls! I agree whole heartedly. why cant any mysteriously awesome phones be for tmo?
Bert=Fail. That is all
I fear that the MyTouch HD will have a Sense UI… They’ve corrupted the MyTouch line with Sense.
But think about it that HTC Merge phone thats supposed to go to Verizon has GSM bands. And it looks really similar to that phone called the Desire HD thats going to T-Mobile UK so they might make the HTC Merge the MyTouch HD. I hope becuase this ugly plastic phone would be a total waste of time and money for T-Mobile. I wish there was a way for me to email them and tell them wat we want in a phone. Maybe they will see our complaints and change the phone around before November comes. Anybody have any suggestions?
its crip
WEN DOES DA MYTOUCH HD COME OUT???
