By After a swing and a miss on a rumored launch date, Motorola’s stepped in to clarify the FlipOut situation: that rumored date was exactly that — rumored. They reiterate that the FlipOut is still on track to head on over to the United States before the holiday seasons, but they don’t specify with whom. It could either mean they don’t want to break AT&T’s cover or they aren’t going to be launching it on AT&T as we once all believed. We won’t know for sure until official announcements are made, obviously, but we’ll keep an eye on this story.
They have it at Rogers. Took a close look at it. Seriously do no like it. The keyboard is cramped and it’s just an odd form factor. It’s odd for oddities sake. They should have just made it 1 solid blackberry-esque unit.
The reason for different form factors is that not everyone likes the same thing. If we all liked what each other did, the world would be a lot less interesting.
I’m with ROM. I would think kids from age 11 to 14 would love this phone. I’ve said it before, not everybody needs the latest and greatest.
I wouldn’t mind a keyboard with a 5th row.
I agree it’s not for everybody. Certainly not for me. Ugly and awkward.
The hinge will be a weak point, I think.
