By More European launches to speak of today. This time, Motorola’s Defy – which we took a nice look at this past week at CTIA’s Fall 2010 show – will be headed for Germany. The device can be had as low as 1 euro on contract, but you can also grab it up outright for 350 euros. If you don’t know what the Motorola Defy is all about, Motorola’s calling the phone “Life Proof.” There are a couple of things to note about this moniker. First of all, it’s definitely life proof. Spill water on it, drop it into a pit of sand, or just drop it off of a bridge: this thing can take it all.
It’s worthy to note the other meaning of “Life Proof,” however, as this isn’t just a device meant for the construction professional. This is meant for folks from all walks of life who need a phone that can take a nice beating. From the dirt-road bikers who have to put their phones into zip-locked bags to the ditsy teen who forgets to take their phone out of their pocket before washing their clothes, Motorola wants you to know that you can get a very durable phone that is also very smart.
The phone comes with Android 2.1 and MOTOBLUR, an 800MHz processor, 2GB of onboard storage, a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen, a 5-megapixel camera, and more.
