Samsung i5510 Likely Heading to Australia’s Telstra

8

The mid-ranged QWERTY i5510 (Galaxy 551) could be making its way to the far south where it will likely be hosted by Telstra. This device, already available in Europe should make a welcome addition to the budget conscious with chubby fingers.

While no official word has come down regarding the pairing of Telstra and the i5510T, it should be a safe bet to make as Telstra’s other Samsung device model numbers are finished with a “T”.

  2. FroYo… Only you Samsung would slap high end Galexy S phone users in the face like that.

  3. Just an updated version to the virgin mobile intercept, smh at samsung too for not updating high-end phones with froyo. I’ll never buy a samsung phone.

  4. This phone will not only come with Froyo it will probably be upgraded to Gingerbread and then Honeycomb before the Galaxy S phones (in the USA) get Froyo. Thanks for slap in the face as Curry stated earlier!!

  5. that wasnt a slap in the face that was a kick in the nuts

  6. Straight in the nuts

  7. It’s nice to see you care about Australia ;)
This looks like a Galaxy 580 aka Galaxy 3 with a keyboard.
It’s kinda ironic that this will launch with FroYo on Telstra when every carrier in Australia EXCEPT Telstra has released FroYo for the Galaxy S.

  8. Excuse me for asking but did the Transform have sex with the Intercept?? O_o
