The Cliq was a total piece of shit and Motorola treated us users like shit. I will never buy the Cliq 2 nor any other Motorola phone.

Moto’s UI is still horrible, aside from their awful UI they have a terrible rep for non high-end smart phones.

I’m with Joe. Motorola has lost me as a customer quite possibly forever. After having to deal with Cliq 2.1 issues only to find the test version was the final build I’ve lost all faith in Motorola.
The RAZR was awesome, the RAZR 2 was ok but needed work, but the Cliq was just an abomination. Great hardware is reduced to nothing if it has garbage software on it.
As a cliq owner I look at this phone with nothing but discust. Done. No more posts about this phone unless it can remotely control a spaceship.

I was never a brand fan boy, sure I had G1 which was a great phone but then it got stolen so I was forced to buy a new one. I was about to get the Behold 2 but held out for a phone with a physical keyboard and BAA got the cliq instead…MAN those two phones sucked especially the UI on both of them. Now I got the G2 and LOVE IT! HTC FTW!!!

Wait hold on PAUSE! WTF is up wit the Cliq 2. T-Mobile is behind once again. They’re not trying hard enough. They should have told Motorola “we don’t want this bull shit, we want to deliver. Give us wat u gave AT&T & Verizon or no deal”. I mean WTF they didn’t even include 4G, bad enough they added MotoBlur on it. Like sometimes I think the president of T-Mobile should jus resign n let somebody else take a shot at it! LIKE FAREAL! Okay they did good wit The G2 & MyTouch 4G but come on keep it rollin don’t jus take 10 steps forward and 9 steps back. And they didn’t even include a Front Facing Camera or nothin! WTF! Its specs are those of the Droid 2. This should be a solid phone world phone (suprised by WCDMA), with updates not far behind its Verizon brother.
The honeycomb keyboard looks cool at first. I guess Motorola hadn’t realize honeycomb was for tablets. By my third glance kind of holoweenish, like a spiderweb.
Blur looks like it is starting to shape up. Phone locate + remote wipe = score. I wish my Droid X had those features.
I agree with Joe, Blest and everyone else when I say that to me Motorola=PIECE OF SHIT products! Unless Jesus Himself came down from heaven and commanded me to buy anything Motorola I wouldn’t do it. Their phones suck ass and so do their blutooths, all of them! I hope this thing sells about as well as the Asus Garmin phone. Motorola and Samsung do such a piss poor job at updates for their phones. It doesn’t matter if its a high end phone or if its a mid-range phone. Odds are if you buy a phone from one of these 2 companies you’re FUBAR’d (Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition & yes that is a Tango & Cash movie reference ;-)
My wife is stuck with the CLIQ XT which still hasn’t been updated out of 1.6, I will think twice before getting a phone from them again.

I never owned one but I knew a few poor souls who did. Back then I stayed with the trusty G1 til I got my G2. The only reason I can think of for the cliq 2 is maybe they have some faulty equipment around so instead of throwing it out why not make another cliq with it.
The phone that launched motoblur and showed moto for the shower of useless idiots they are. As a dext user who has had to rely on modders to get something remotly useable after being lied to and abandoned by moto all I can say is do yourself a favour and buy something else, anything else but moto.

@mdmadph : really? The Cliq keyboard is considered to be pretty good. As a matter of fact, the only saving grace for the Cliq really is the form factor and how it feels.
But yes, anybody would be insane to think this will get past 2.2

Watching the video the specs sound really good until you remember it’s a moto.
