Now this is a pretty killer partnership: Shazam and Spotify are partnering up to further enhance their music-related applications. Now when you identify a song with Shazam you will be presented with a “Play in Spotify” option letting you listen to the full-length track.
“Shazam, the world’s leading mobile discovery company, today announced that Spotify, the popular music service, will be integrated across the full range of Shazam’s free and premium Apps for iPhone, iPod touch and Android. As a result, Shazamers will be able to access Spotify directly through a new ‘Play in Spotify’ feature, which will take them directly to Spotify where they can immediately begin listening to the full track that they either tagged or discovered within Shazam from recommendations or the Shazam charts.”
The feature is currently only available with the Shazam Encore application, and obviously only in regions where Spotify is supported (sorry US). They promise it will hit the free version in due time.

Dandy
Since they insist on suing open source devs, I think not.
Wheres our US equivalent?
umm thats okay, with sound hound i can identify (much better i might ad)AND THEN watch the full youtube music video (better anyway)
No US? meh, i was starting to like soundhound better anyways…
Spotify is the best music service there is. Can’t wait to try this out.
I’ve read a few tests on Shazam vs Soundhound I think they are fairly equal. SH is usually a little faster though, but all that can change at any time.
Awesome, hope SH switches their amazon button (which nobody uses) against a spotify button
Ssssuck it US
