You had to expect that the Motorola Atrix would eventually head to Canada. It’s by far AT&T’s most impressive phone to date, and it already has the 3G radios to cooperate with most of Canada’s cellular networks. Bell fans will be happy to know that the device has been listed on their website as “Coming Soon…” and that you can now sign up to be notified. I’m surprised Bell didn’t want to make noise with a press release, but who are we to say anything? It’s out there now. [Bell via Android Central]
The site has been up for over a week – it was live as soon as the device was launched at the Moto presser at CES (which Moto announced that AT&T, Bell and Orange UK would be getting the device).
What about Soviet Russia?!?!
can’t let it go to Russia so soon. They know it’ll get dismantled, hacked in every possible way so that the traffic is unlimited and the minutes are not counted :)
i have a strange doubt. will the droid bionic phone work on the laptop dock.
They’ve named it the “Motorola Laptop Dock” which surely gives other models a chance?
Wonder if the Webtop .apk can be ported to the Droid/Milestone and run from those devices too?
What is the story with the bootloaders on the Atrix and Bionic? Are they ‘locked’ like the D2/DX’s?
@DJ we probably wont find that out until we get closer to launch date and test units start showing up. It sucks though, because that’s the only thing that could be a serious deal breaker with this phone. If its unlocked, its mine. Locked… who knows…
nice…
Bell is awesome at locking down the phones but out of all of the providers in canada they’re getting updates quicker. Vibrant was updated to 2.2 by the end of november. but much better than being on friggen rogers or telus.
