Just a friendly reminder that the rollout of Android 2.2 for the LG Ally has begun. The update not only includes the move to a new version of the Android OS, but also enhancements for screen rotation for app compatibility and more security options. The update is pushing over the air, so if you don’t get yours right away, hang tight.
Devs in all things root are already working on making this better.. some people like myself are rooted.. though no official way to do so yet. If you value your root and etc, dont take the OTA yet.

Is it going to have flash? It’s my girlfriends phone (unfortunately) and I’d at least like it if it had flash support

wallie, there is no Flash support. ARM6 processors don’t support flash

Way to go Samsung. Got beat to the froyo punch by…….the lg ally? Wow. So glad I dropped you off in a nice trash can last month. I thought week I had to spends with the enV 1 was bad til I used the galaxy s and realized that the best hardware available TO DATE was crippled by butt jizz. I mean touchWIZ. but I made it. Thank god for my too backup phones. Mr. X and Mr. Incredible. They saved me from eclair making me fatter and slowing me down even more. Its too bad because that was a fine peice of hardware.
I love how my POS(Okay, “Budget Phone”) ally got the update and Samsung phones still haven’t.

Got the Froyo update and I was able to install the Flash 10 APK file.
When will someone get it rooted though?
I haven’t gotten the update yet… how long does the push take to hit all ally’s
