RadioShack is capping off its Fresh Phone February promotion with some trade-in deals for hot and current handsets. All of their Galaxy S phones, including the brand new Samsung Galaxy S 4G on T-Mobile, will be available for a guaranteed $50 off when you trade in your old handset. In addition, the HTC Inspire 4G will also get the special treatment. After trade-in, the purchase of the Inspire via RadioShack will set you back a scrawny $49.99 on-contract. The Galaxy S 4G will cost $99.99 after trade-in, and other Galaxy devices will range from $49.99 to $149.99. At those prices, they’re practically giving them away (well, not really, but you get the point…).
As a matter of clarification, I think you only get that $50 off the phone if you’re going for a new activation or 2-year upgrade, NOT if you’re buying the phone off contract.
Also, if you’re trading in a device worth more than $50 as per their regular trade-in program, I think you just get the $50 extra.
I’m not speaking this as if it’s gospel or anything, but that’s what I got out of a short conversation with a Radio Shack employee over the weekend because I was thinking about trading in my Captivate for the HTC Inspire and getting it at the off-contract price.
How much off on no contact. I’m in, If it is more than 10%. That’s how much I get on discount.

radio shack is great place to get your phone. Always got some type of deal going on. You can also get the atrix today for $149 and the lap top dock only for $329.
It should be noted that while it will be $99 for new customers for a 2 year plan.
Its $149.99 for upgrading customers.
Additionally, walmart is selling the device for $148.88 tomorrow and you don’t have to trade in anything. That’s the price for new and upgrading.
I’m upgrading so that’s the cheapest and best for me as opposed to the shack.
I just traded in some crappy old phone. for an upgrade to an EVO. It’s not just Galaxy phones. Then I’ll eBay my hero for more savings.
I just got the HTC inspire at radioshack for 50. I upgraded and traded my old go phone(backup). I got a 50 dollar discount for a 30 dollar nokia phone and got my zagg shield for 14.99 instead of 20.00 dollars at best buy.18dollar activation fee.
