Guess what, Phandroids? The HTC Incredible 2 is now officially available for purchase! You can get your very own Incredible 2 right now through Verizon Wireless for $199.99 (Please Note: some users are not yet seeing the offer live – patience and rapidly pressing refresh until it appears is recommended!)
The always lovely Quentyn Kennemer filmed an unboxing video for the Incredible 2 earlier today, so if you want to see what you’re getting yourself into, or if you like to watch strangers undress smartphones (I wont judge), don’t forget to hit up his post.
As the sequel to last years Droid Incredible, the Incredible 2 weighs in with a slightly larger 4-inch screen, 1GHz second generation Snapdragon processor, 1GB on storage for all your apps, 768MB of RAM for multitasking and the now standard 8MP camera with LED flash and 1.3MP front facing camera. HTC was also gracious enough to provide a 16GB micro SD card and although the phone will ship with Android 2.2, HTC’s newest version of Sense 2.1 will definitely help make up for that.
You can expect a full review from Quentyn in the coming days after he puts the phone through its paces. In the meantime, chat it up with fellow Android-o-holics in our Incredible 2 Forums where you can discuss everything from general value of the phone, to any other questions or concerns you have about the handset.
Verizon has been quite the bang up job with their their Android lineup this year and doesn’t look like they’re slowing down anytime soon. But will this phone earn your hard earned money or will you opt for the Thunderbolt? Or just maybe you’ll continue to hold out for one of Motorola’s multi-core rainbow unicorns?
