Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini and Mini Pro Quick Look [Video]

Sony Ericsson officially unveiled followups to the Mini series a while back and while they may not look much different on the outside, their innards will impress many-a phone buyer. It’s just as small and light as the original models, but has so much more going on in terms of specs. There’s a 5 megapixel camera on the back with HD video recording (this is the Exmore sensor, folks), a front-facing VGA camera, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Sony’s Bravia Engine display technology, and – as you might already know – the pro version has the added slide-out QWERTY board. (This thing feels really good to type on even with my gigantic hands.)

I’m not a fan of smallish devices myself, but folks will be happy to know that they don’t have to sacrifice size for quality and power. This’ll go toe-to-toe with any high-end device. Sony Ericsson has resurrected their unique corner UI. On each corner of the display, there are app trays that can hold up to four apps each. You’ll have quick and easy access to up to 16 different applications no matter which homescreen you’re on. Check out a quick look at the two devices above.
