Been craving Android 2.3.4 infused with some official Cyan love? Crave no more as the folks behind CyanogenMod have released 7.1 RC1, an upgrade to Android 2.3.4 that not only brings new features from AOSP, but a ton more from CyanogenMod. Biggies include Bluetooth mouse support and the ability to control display brightness by sliding your finger over the status bar. The massive changelog can be had at github, while the update itself can be had at CyanogenMod.com or through ROM Manager. Get to it!
I can’t wait to get home and flash it.
flashed and running on my trusty nexus one
Nothing for NC yet.
Oops, forgot it wasn’t a stable mod.

Works great…not sure why it isn’t listed on all mirrors, but enjoy!!
I STILL CAN’T ROOT MY NEXUS S AND I WANT CM 7 SO BAD!!!! Anyone got a simple ROOT process that actually works?!?!? Please link it up for me!!!!!

So far so good. Nothing “wonky” noticed so far. Even the 3 second call delay bug is gone but I think that was fixed in the nightlies a little bit ago…
Don’t forget to flash the new 20110613 GApps: http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110613-signed.zip
They’re also in ROM Manager, and the “Google Apps” add-on when you download CyanogenMod. Please note that these do NOT have Google Talk with Video chat. See the footer of http://goo-inside.me/gapps for more info.
Now testing on Nook Color and my OG Droid. So far, so good. The graphics have gotten a MASSIVE speed-up on the NC, and the media player has less lag on the Droid. My only slight complaint is that Netflix plays at double speed on the Nook, but there is a fix available for that if you look around.
wifi issues on my nook…crap:(
It works fine on mine. You might need to try clearing your dalvik cache or something. Added bonus; the NC now hits 1851 on Quadrant! (That’s at a modest 950mhz overclock) It’s a very worth while upgrade if you can figure out what happened to your wireless.
I think I’ll stick to the nightlies
meh i gave up on Cm7 after the gps issues and 4g issues, even though i tried the fix from stock rom update then back to cm7 nothing, so unless this fixes the gps issues no thanks, but glad their are updating for those who have cm7
Wow sliding your finger on the notification bar to adjust brightness!! Another feature Touchwiz had a year ago. Yawn.
Too bad TouchWiz blows in every other conceivable way.
running on the old CDMA Sprint Hero!
