The Canadian/Bell version of the Incredible S is receiving their Gingerbread update right this minute. If you’re wonderig, this will bring the device up to Android 2.3.3 (just shy of that coveted .4). If you haven’t been prompted for the update you can always manually check for one by going into your devices Settings>About Phone>System Updates.
I can’t believe how many Gingerbread updates have been rolling out this month to just about everyone on every carrier. Feelin’ kinda bad for those still left out of the party with their melted Froyo. Soon, brothers!

luckily i denied the update so i could use alpharevx and root it.. now im running cm7.1 android 2.3.4 on my inc2 ;]… also jcase’s overclock kernel to 1.8 ghz shows me dual core is not needed lol
Damn, son! Well- that and dual-cores aren’t even being used yet. Lol Not until Ice Cream Sandwich =p
Chris, WHAT is going on with the Dinc 1 update? I have heard NOTHING … I want sense back….but I refuse to give up my rooted new kernal and cm7….my battery life is unreal
