One of the best smallish phones to hit stateside is finally here, courtesy of T-Mobile. We’ve seen this thing on its roadmap before, and it wasn’t too long ago that a leaked spec sheet for T-Mobile’s version made its way to the net. T-Mobile’s spoiled our fun, though, and have gone and made it all official.
It’s a 3.2 inch Gingerbread + Sense device. It won’t totally blow your socks off, but this one is meant for the same sort of crowd that liked the HTC Aria, the HTC Legend and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini phones – light, but functional and a lot better than feature phones.
It’s set to come out August 3rd for $80 after singing a new two-year agreement.
My friend has an HTC Aria (essentially the same phone) and it’s pretty awesome. The only problem with it is that it doesn’t support flash.
They really ought to be putting the G2 processors in these now that it has eol’d.
I’ve got an Aria, and it runs CM7 great! But the processor really shows that it’s from last year, they should not be selling these anymore, even at entry level.
got one for my girlfriend .. supposed to be smaller brother of Nexus1, but the screen is horrible and the processor lags, even with CM7. Why would one spend $80 on last year’s entry phone when you can get much nicer ones for free.
What tune do I have to “sing” the new 2 year agreement to???…:-)
