Following a string of exciting announcements this morning, Samsung has also announced a new addition to their “WiFi” line of Galaxy S products. It’s the Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 3.6 and, as the name suggests, will be a 3.6 inch rendition of the PMP for those who don’t need a huge screen for multimedia.
Inside will be a 1GHz OMAP processor (unusual considering Samsung makes one of the nicest chipsets around), a 2MP rear camera, a front-facing camera, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. If an iPod Touch isn’t your thing and you want something sure to be a bit cheaper, look no further.
I am glad someone else is finally in vesting into something to compte with the iPod touch. I love the looks of these I am sure adding music will be so much simpler. Hope they do have an inexpensive price tag on this. I am game!!
Oh god if this is around $199 I’ll yell “SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY SAMSUNG!”
There is also a FM radio. Also just saw a $150-170 price tag for GBP. I will be stoked if the price translates the same here.
I just read a report saying it is going to be sold for $240 8GB and $273 16GB…..I hope not because if they want to compete then they need be be same price or cheaper

With smartphones around I don’t see much use for another device to carry around, but then again for those who want it, it should be there.

Google Music and Spotify are not the same thing, comparing them is idiotic
That’s because Music Beta isn’t a marketplace or a subscription service. It is meant to stream music you already own and have uploaded.
And yes, Spotify is awesome.
Yes and Music Beta is great. The simple fact I just upload my songs once and all of my Andorid devices will sync the new songs. I like not having to add songs to all my different devices. Tablet, workout MP3 player, android phone, etc. Music beta just needs a little tweeking to make it awesome!!
Spotify is ok, but I honestly like Rhapsody better, it organizes your music automatically for you, by artist, by ablum or by playlist
so I don’t have to spend any time organizing it, spotify with only playlists is pretty weak

Um, no, that is not the same thing. That thing on Best Buy’s website has been showing up for awhile now, and it’s the 4″ Galaxy Player that has never actually been available…

This device will have a difficult time competing with the ipod touch.
Android’s biggest advantage is having a lot more data related features, such as a better notification system and a better web browser.
However, both this device and with the ipod touch, the most important thing is having good quality games available for it, and honestly, ios has a lot more games than Android.
I hope it does come to best buy. Cause my ZUNE HD battery is messing upand dying. Been waiting for a Galaxy player for a long time.
PLEASE COME to the STATES. I need to replace my ZUNE HD Player!
