KT (Korean Telecom) introduced a rather versatile Android powered device at IFA this year. The KT Spiderpad (really?) features a 4.5-inch display, 1.5Ghz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and micro HDMI port. Pretty standard high-end Android device, right? But that’s not all.
Borrowing off of Motorola’s idea of offering a webtop docking station, the KT Spiderpad also provides the versatility of docking your phone (as seen in the picture above) into a netbook dock, giving you all the benefits that come with having a full physical keyboard and functional mouse at your fingertips. I’m sure you’ve heard of the saying, “All work and no play,” well — to prevent you from becoming a “dull boy,” KT will also make available a gamepad dock, giving you to ability to get down and dirty with the ever growing number of game titles in the Android Market. What else are you going to use all those cores for anyway? Also shown was a tablet dock (not pictured), which is always a nice option for those who need a little more screen real-estate than the device’s 4.5-inch screen. There was no word on pricing or availability outside of a general fall release date but if you would like to see more, check out these videos.
