Considering the DROID 2 and DROID 2 Global have both gotten their Gingerbread updates, we weren’t surprised to see the DROID 2 R2-D2 wasn’t far behind – they’re practically the same phones. If you can’t wait to get your grubby little robot clamps on it, it looks like it’s rolling out now (at least the handful of emails in our inbox say as much). My R2 unit got its update earlier this month its mostly good except for my home screen which no longer has a trash bin :( Not the end of the world, just a minor
annoyance.
