Thanks to the availability of the Ice Cream Sandwich SDK, we’ve essentially gotten a system dump of the Galaxy Nexus. We’ve got all of the apps, a couple of system sounds and the bootanimation. We’d love more – like ringtones, notification sounds, wallpapers and live wallpapers, but we suppose that will come once we can get a build of the OS that’ll be on phones. It’s been done before… But it isn’t pretty. I’m pretty sure someone put a Honeycomb dump on a Nexus S and the touch screen didn’t work or something.
I don’t suppose this would be any more likely to work smoothly since ICS is supposed to cover phones and tablets, then? Especially considering this particular dump came from a phone? I really have no idea about this sort of stuff.

The first thing I’d get is the font, Roboto.
I’m surprised that’s the first thing you’d rave about. But, here are the TTF files for Roboto. I pulled them from the link above.

It’s the one thing you have to live with throughout the duration of the phones existence (unless you obviously modify your phone, like myself). I currently use Helvetica and can’t see myself using any other font but having seen Roboto, it might be a nice replacement.

Stupid question but where are the ringtones and notification sounds? I only see two sounds in the media folder?
