Get your clicking fingers ready! Posting this for you guys will only hurt my chances of getting one but hey — sharing is caring. HP is getting ready for another one of their “fire sales” on the now infamous TouchPad but this time, through eBay. Although this was originally meant to give HP employees first dibs, the internal company email was leaked online and now here were are spilling the beans for you.
The TouchPads will once again, be selling for the same $100 for 16GB versions and $150 for 32GB versions and NO, you wont need to purchase a laptop to get the discount. The only catch is that this are, in fact, refurbished units which may come as a turn-off for some would be buyers. Any way you slice it, that’s still quite steal. The deal kicks off December 11th at 6pm (CT) and although no returns will be permitted, the TouchPads will come with a 90 warranty.
Buy it. Hack it. Throw Android on it. Boom.

On a secondary note, Android runs fantastic on my Touchpad!
On alpha 3 and things went smooth the first week. Now I cant FOR THE LIFE OF ME get wifi to come back on. Just waiting for ICS now.
If only we had a fully functional build of Android to put on it…
alpha 3 runs smoother and has more functionality than most stock phones..
Sweet…but I already bought the HTC flyer so……
Hows ICS coming along on these? Only reason I’d buy one is to put ICS on it.
Will HP be selling it through their HP Store on eBay? Or will they be sneaky about it and use an Alias. lol
6 pm. on a Sunday? Where at? The website?
Do we just go to the website?
I’d rather have the Ainol (Read: Anal) Novo7 with ICS preinstalled.
moving this to correct section lol ^^
will there be a special link for it?
No u gotta go to the store on ebay…links in the article
Just in time for the ice-scream party…..sounds tempting, tired of dealing with the ipad2….
these are at ebay
I will be there at six pm (ct) to grab me and the wife one. Hope there’ll be a enough to go around. cheers
Ugh. Do I want to pick up a second one? Thinking I should… But I just can’t come up with a justifiable reason lol
As far as saving when buying on eBay goes:
Use a site like Ebuyersedge.com to set up saved searches. You get an e-mail whenever a matching item is newly listed. Especially good for “Buy It Now”s that are priced right.
Try a misspelling search using a site like Typojoe.com to hopefully find some great deals with items that have main key words misspelled in the title. Other interested buyers might not ever see them.
If you see an auction that you want to bid on, use a sniping service such as Bidball.com to place your bid for you. It’ll bid in the last few seconds, helping you to save money and avoid shill bidding.
