UK retailer Clove has posted a few more “official” press shots of the white version of the Galaxy Nexus hitting overseas in February. You’ll notice unlike the white G-Nex that was previously posted, showing an all white face plate (similar to the white Epic 4G Touch hitting Sprint in a few days), the updated images actually show an all black front of the device now with side moldings and battery cover receiving the new white paint job. Have to say, I’m kinda feeling this new version a little better but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What do you guys think?

Makes sense. Wouldn’t look good, a SAMOLED HD with black status bar and button bar on a white face…. this is better.
Exactly. Can’t really salivate over the AMOLED black if it doesn’t meld in with a black bezel.
making the back white,but keeping the front black just makes the phone look cheap,i would rather just get a black one.

Imagine the Nexus initially came out with pink as its full color. Wouldn’t you want a different color than pink? Merely personal preference.
true,i guess when i think about white phones,i think about a white iphone,since thats the first time it was really popular. then i always think about how angry/impatient people get about not having the white ihphone yet,and it seems like its just a bunch of people making a big deal out of something thats really not that important

It’s about options. Ideally phones would come in various colors and you could get the color you prefer. Right now all they can do is black and white due to popularity but one day we’ll have devices that can change color on demand.

Not to mention accessories in white would be very difficult to coordinate without making yourself look like a christmas ornament.

Would look better with the front face white too. Wish I had a SGSII white instead of the black.
I haven’t looked at a white iPhone to see if there is a difference in how they do it compared to how Samsung does it. I had to keep the capacitive button lights off on my white skyrocket. Not sure if it’s paint that’s used or glass coloring but the lights were too much for it.
I think I like the black face/white body. I just got a galaxy nexus and would gladly trade for a semi white version.

We just got the white epic 4g touches in store today, and oh my god that is one sexy device. Way better looking than that galaxy nexus in white.
