Shortly after taking wraps off the LG Optimus 3D Cube, the mobile maker has unveiled yet another handset destined for Mobile World Congress. The Android 2.3 Optimus 3D Max doesn’t differ much from the Cube, and is likely a variant of the device that will see an international release. Aside from differing display technologies, most of the specs remain the same between the two multi-dimensional handsets. The Optimus 3D Max uses a “brightened” display measuring 4.3-inches and carrying a WVGA resolution. The phone is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU and sports a dual 5MP camera setup, NFC, and 8GB of storage.
The Optimus 3D Max will hit Korea in March and then rollout to other regions starting with Europe. An upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich should be available shortly after the device’s street date. We’ll be sure to dig deeper into the differences between the Optimus 3D Max and Optimus 3D Cube at MWC and bring back hands-on video of both.
“An upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich should be available shortly after the device’s street date”
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha… yeah, good one.
The key word in that sentence is “should”, just like all people SHOULD obey the law and downloaded roms SHOULD be deleted within 24 hours (talking gba/gbc game roms) and apple SHOULD stop there useless lawsuits
I’m sure what was meant was a developer ROM upgrade.
no matter how “bright” the screen is, need to set it back to 30% just to get some battery life.
3D? Ill definetly pass and not give in to this 3D hype.. Doesnt deserve my money!
.2 ghz faster then the original. Plus 2.3. Epic failure. LG is so stupid!
That interface looks like it’s a kids Phone. Worse than the iPhone.
But better than LG’s previous wannabe TouchWiz UI.. =p
mofos @ LG dont give a crap about their phones. They keep churning out phones w/o bothered to support the previous ones. I bought their flagship Optimus 3D last sept and it’s been a POS struggle downhill to get any thing decent working on it after the GB upgrade. Ghost call issue (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1475351), random reboots, battery dying suddenly within hours etc.
That’s true
