Samsung has been on fire lately with clever ad spots (“Dude, you’re a barrista.”) and today, their Portugal branch is bringing us another, this time, to promote their dual-SIM Samsung Galaxy Y Duos. The video uses a projection technique normally reserved for tall buildings (or Buzz Lightyear’s face at Disneyland), but this time, the canvas or “screen” is a man they’ve painted completely white and had to remain completely still for 3 hours (no bathroom breaks?).
Using projectors, they’re able to bring to life and paint a story (or acid trip) on top of said man, making you question what’s real and what’s not. Yeah, it’s a totally bodacious. No, you’re not tripping balls. I can’t help but think a video using these techniques would have been better suited for their upcoming Galaxy Beam projector-phone but what do I know. I’m just a lonely blogger. Check out the video below.

I agree – it’s awesome! And yes, why wouldn’t they use this ad for the Galaxy Beam? Notice that he actually never opens his eyes – the eyes are projected too… Very realistic.
He opens them a couple of times but yeah, most of the time they are closed. Such a trip! :D
Its really cool gadget.
wtf is an apple computer doing in this video (at the beggining logo covered in black tape)
The people doing this commercial are creative dude.
Yeah, like that guy from the ad – barista :)
Because this industry seems to think that Apple products are supposed to be used for multimedia. Kind of like how toilet paper is supposed to be used to whip your ass. PMO.
Why would you use toilet paper as a whip? How is it even possible to get it taut enough to be a whip?
Through careful plating of the paper and then a light spraying of water to dampen it and then you have a nice whip :) Unless Chris Brown has a better method?
Google uses Apple computers. It would just be bad if there was an iPhone there. “The guy works for Sabre, and isn’t even using a Pyramid phone.”
Amazing commercial
Pretty cool.
this is really cool
