A new software build has leaked for AT&T’s LG Nitro HD, and the more adventurous users willing to try it out are raving about the results. The firmware transforms the phone otherwise known as the Optimus LTE from a Gingerbread clunker into an Ice Cream Sandwich dream machine. Early reports are that all major features are fully functional despite a few minor bugs here and there. Much love is being given to the revamped user interface featured on top of Android 4.0.
It looks like we are dealing with the Optimus UI 3.0 that LG touted last week, and it looks like a nice improvement over previous attempts at a custom interface.

Seems better than the LG UI that’s currently being used. Surprises me how there gonna bring it to older phones unlike HTC
Agree htc seems to have 10 different versions of sense and have all their phones fragmented.
Yes and it seems strange that a htc desire c that has much less specs then the rezound or any phone from last year can get htc sense 4.0 but not others.

The Optimus LTE is a great phone, but LG’s overlay is pretty awful, to say the least. And I wish they would stop putting the carrier identification on the tool bar. That is where notifications go. I don’t need notification of what carrier I’m signed on to. Seriously, it needlessly takes up space.
So how do I get it on my Nitro?
