The Sony Tablet S was one of a few Android tablets released last year that kinda flew under the radar. Featuring a unique “folder” design and solid Sony build quality, even though the device may not have been the success Sony wanted, they still updated the Tablet S to Ice Cream Sandwich.
Now, it’s looking like Sony could have more in store for the underrated tablet, readying a successor with a possible upgraded spec sheet. A device with the model number SGPT1211 has just won FCC approval, and although the OS wasn’t mentioned in the official FCC docs (it’s entirely possible it could launch with Windows 8), we’re thinking it will be Sony Playstation certified Android tablet with all the fixins. We’ll keep you posted.

There is no way the first one sold well.
Actually, well is relative and Sony’s tablet did pretty well.
I used it and I couldn’t stand it. Doesn’t feel good in hand and the software isn’t smooth.
Yeah tablet with honeycomb in 2012!
It has ICS on the original Tablet S.
I SOOO want Sony to release a top tier beast of a device, whether it be a tablet or phone. I think we really need some high end new blood, oem-wise.
wish SONY would make a 7 incher. but still love to have a S
