LG VS930 Pictured In The Wild – Coming Soon To Verizon With HD Display, S4 Processor, NFC and Ice Cream Sandwich
LG and Verizon Wireless have been rather chummy when it comes to Big Red offering the other South Korean manufacturer’s handsets on their network. The duo is teaming up again, this time for the soon-to-be released LG VS930 — known in other parts of the world as the LG Optimus LTE.
The VS930 isn’t looking too shabby either, featuring all the top of the line specs we’ve come to know and love. The VS930 showcases a Qualcomm S4 processor, 4.7-inch “True HD IPS” display, global radios, NFC, and all running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. As for RAM, LG recently announced the LG Optimus LTE 2 for Korea with a very spacious 2GB of RAM. If LG wants to match the Galaxy S3 pound-for-pound, they know what they have to do.
The best part? You’ll notice LG also went with a controversial 4 capacitive button configuration along the bottom, slipping in the shunned menu button. While some will boo and hiss over LG’s blatant disregard for Google’s ICS design standards, I think it was a good call overall. Either way, the device looks sexy, will power through applications, and will no doubt catch the attention of all the soccer moms and Joe Schmoe’s out there.
