There are few things better in this world than a good old fashioned montage. Here’s a fun little unboxing montage from around the net with a cameo from yours truly at Phandroid.
The box: Nexus 7. The problem: opening it. Seriously, if you watch the video completely through, you’ll notice everyone had a hard time opening this thing — that is, except Phandroid. Well, to be fair and honest, we actually shot a clip before this one and scrapped it due to the difficulty we had opening it. I even had to break out the razor blade to get those damn tabs off. I don’t know what kind of material was used, but I suspect it’s some kind of new space-age plastic Google has been developing. In any case, have a good laugh. I know I did.
Premium casing for a premium product.
The world’s most least expensive premium product :D
These people were unboxing wrong. :)
I always have my Leatherman on the ready. Ya never know if you’ll have those plastic stickers to cut through, or plastic twisty ties, or the clamshell crap to scissor through…
I noticed the problem wasnt the tape but how tightly packed the box was and everyone was having a hard time pulling it apart.
THAT IS TJE FUNNIEST VIDEO I HAVE EVER SEN
Trolololol
to paraphrase Snoop Dogg in a very old Sidekick ad; “unboxing a new product without a knife handy? That won’t do nothin but make you look stupid!”
Course that knife won’t help the lid seperate from the box, looks like you need a crowbar or something for that
Around the 1 minute mark I couldn’t help but to start laughing. Anyway, good timing, mine gets delivered today!
I opened it in my Mini Van with a screaming baby behind me, it didn’t seem that hard to open. It was tightly packed, and a little tough to open but worth it in the end.
THAT WAS HILARIOUS!
I opened mine while driving down the road after my visit to Sam’s Club. I used my thumb nail. It wasn’t that tough.
This is all I have to say: http://i.qkme.me/3q4n8s.jpg
The worst thing is that apparently none of these people know how to use a video editing program. Yeah, there’s this thing called CUT! Oh yeah, and this transition called DIP TO BLACK so that we know it took a little bit of time!
Hay problema, indeed.
Finally, an enjoyable unboxing video!
I watched the video in the morning before mine was delivered. I didn’t have a single problem with any of that. The box slid out of the sleeve with no issue, I cut the two pieces of tape with my utili-key, and the box opened no problem.
Odd thing I did find is that the box had already been opened and resealed with a second set of black tape strips.
