Media center app Plex has received an update to version 2.2.0.5, bringing several new features to the Android version of the streaming hub. Notable is the new ability to remotely control your mobile device running Plex using a different device also running Plex. If that sounds confusing or redundant, it is actually fairly useful for those that might have their phone hardwired to their HD television and out of reach. The update provides an “experimental” QuickSilver streaming option that is said to enhance video quality, as well.
You can read more about what makes QuickSilvers streaming experimental, or simply get a full list of what’s new with Plex by checking out the company’s blog post detailing the update. Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t do anything to change Plex’s $5 price tag.

What is wrong with them wanting to charge $5?
I agree, plus once paid you enjoy forever. This app is pretty amazing as well, I am a fan.
5$
One of my “Can’t live without it” apps. Of course, having a 75/35mbps connections sure helps with 3G/4G playback.
I wish the Plex app for Google TV was better. It’s a bit clunky and I have issues with pause/play.
