Count Lenovo among the crowd of companies introducing their latest tablet offerings at this year’s IFA show. Three (mostly) new slates received a formal announcement, from the 7-inch IdeaTab A2107 to the IdeaTab S2110, a device positioned to take on ASUS’ line of Transformer tablets. Also shown off was the IdeaTab S2109.
Lenovo didn’t provide much detail on the A2107, which looks to compete with the likes of the Nindle Fire and Nexus 7. The 7-inch tablet features a Cortex A9 processor of undisclosed clock speed and up to 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD). It should retail for right around $250. The IdeaTab S2109 is a 9-inch slate with 1280×800 display resolution, a 1.2GHz Tegra 3 chipset, and 16GB of internal storage for $299.
The biggest showing, however, was the IdeaTab S2110 with a 10.1-inch IPS display at 1280×800 resolution and dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm CPU. The device is unique in that it features a keyboard dock accessory, positioning it as a direct competitor to the ASUS Transformer Pad. Still, its specs don’t quite stack up at $399 for the S2110 alone or $499 for the tablet and dock.
Overall, not too much to get excited about, but if you needed just a few more Android tablet options you definitely have them here.
