Carbon for Android — the WebOS Twitter client that is finally making its way to Android — has been teased for nearly half a year now and it looks like we’re closer than ever to a launch. Developer Dots and Lines tweeted they’d be done with the app in a few days, and that tweet was sent on September 14th.
If their estimation was correct we should hopefully see this app in the Google Play Store sometime this week. Of course, considering they didn’t give a solid date we can’t get our hopes up too soon — just know that the next disruptive Twitter experience is nearly finished. Keep an eye out on Phandroid.com for news on its highly anticipated arrival. [via Mobilesyrup]
Yeah, they are releasing something that TweetDeck (or the better TweakDeck) has been doing for some time now. /meh/
That application is way behind the times, and it’s not getting any better anytime soon.
I can’t agree with this statement any more than I already do. Tweetdeck needs to show some love to it’s Android app instead of their desktop app for a change.
How about telling us what the app does? I’ve never heard of it. Is it a launcher or a skin that puts everything in b&w to save battery? Pretty pointless piece.
Sorry — it’s a Twitter app which got its claim to fame on WebOS.
Thought this line might have given it away: “just know that the next disruptive Twitter experience is nearly finished.”
Or the lines: “Carbon for Android — the WebOS Twitter client that is finally making its way to Android” & “they’d be done with the app in a few days…”
I think it’s pretty obvious what this is.
that was added after dude…
I added that afterward.
I hate to be negative but I won’t believe it until I see it running on my phone.

Sounds like a Twitter client… and we’ve never heard of it because it was only on Windows Phone and webOS
Don’t use Twitter. Don’t care. Thought it was a new theme… nope.
Yeah, who needs facebook or twitter? When I have something on my mind that I’d like to share, I just post it on phandroid.
if you listen to the Iterate podcast, the dev says within ’10 days’. That was said on Sept. 11.
