Good news for owners of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 on Verizon’s network: the update to Ice Cream Sandwich has been approved and is ready to roll out to the slate. Users can expect Android 4.0.4 for the Galaxy Tab 7.7 to bring such features as multi-tasking and facial unlock as well as other enhancements in software version i815.LP10. The official changelog has been posted to VZW’s support site, which lists the update at a sizeable 289MB. You might want to get connected to a WiFi network before downloading. The rollout should begin shortly.

I’m probably like the only person to have this tablet, so I am excited! :)
I got one too
I love this tablet. This update took forever but at least it came.
Haven’t got it yet, do I need to be connected to 4G?
Hope it cures the random reboots I keep getting.
I love this tablet also. Glad it’s getting ICS.
Has anyone gotten the update yet?????
Starting to think this is a joke. Verizon released a small update prior to the major update and I can’t find a single person that is able to install the first update. Verizon customer service is clueless, didn’t even know about any update since May. Better get used to HC on this beast, cuz ICS isn’t looking to promising as it stands right now. Hopefully I jinxed us and we’ll wake up in the morning with an ice cream sandwich by our bed.
I got the first update and it installed fine. The second
Got the first little update last week and it installed fine. The second update, though, hasn’t shown. I’ve been checking in the settings a couple of times per day, but no love. sigh If I remember correctly, the big update for my Razr Maxx came about 10 days after its little first update, so for the Tab, I’m expecting the big update in the next 3 days or so.
