Samsung has announced yet another mid-tier device with an affordable price tag. The Samsung Galaxy Express, not to be confused with AT&T’s Galaxy Express, is presented as a “value-driven 4G LTE smartphone for the young social explorer.” Quite an interesting market to singularly target, but we are sure this phone will serve much more people than that specific group.
It highly ressembles a Galaxy S3, of course with a few slight design changes and lesser specs, but anyone not putting attention would think you are holding the device’s bigger brother. And to give it credit, the Express is not bad if it comes with the right price and you are looking to save a few bucks.

For an affordable device, these specs are quite surprising. Users won’t be missing out on all the popular Samsung sharing features thanks to the NFC chip. And that 1.2 GHz processor should get the job done for most tasks. There is one thing we will complain about, though. Regardless of how affordable a device is, we wish affordable phones came with at least a qHD resolution. You know… it being 2013 and all.
We have grown accustomed to our higher-resolution displays, and going to a WVGA resolution is quite painful. But if you can ignore the pixelation and enjoy the experience, you might be looking at your next device! Price and availability are still a mystery, but we assume that depends on the market. We are not quite sure if it will hit the US, though. After all, there is already a Galaxy Express here – two might not fit in the same country.
