ASUS QUBE launching April 23rd
After missing the Q1 mark ASUS originally set for the ASUS QUBE release date, the company was finally ready to come clean with a solid date. GTVSource.com has learned from an ASUS representative that the Google TV unit would be launching April 23rd. Said to be coming in at $130, the device is a cube-shaped Google TV box that will also utilize a custom cube-like user interface ASUS built. It’s Google TV like we’ve never seen it before, but you’ll still get all the benefits of the vanilla Google TV experience you’ve come to know and love.
No further details about where, exactly, the device would be offered could be had, but we’ve reached out to ASUS to see if we can drill any further. We got our hands on the ASUS Qube at CES and it didn’t take much to get us excited about its arrival. Now that we know when it’ll be on its way it’s a good time to ask — will this rejuvenate your interest in Google TV or is the cube interface ASUS employs not enough to pique your interest?
