Earlier today we received word that soak tests had begun for the Verizon Motorola Moto X (2nd Gen) and in case you missed it, the totally official (read: non-soak test) update is now rolling out over-the-air to all Moto X (2nd Gen) users on Verizon Wireless. The version number is version 22.21.11.en.US and weighs in at 678MB.
The update is only a few days shy of Android 5.0 Lollipop rolling out on the Moto X (2nd Gen) Pure Edition model (which beat the Nexus 5 by a few hours). To pull the update, head into your Settings > About Phone > Software updates to check for it manually (if your phone hasn’t notified you already). After the downloading, installing, and your phone reboots, you’ll be enjoying the biggest Android update since Honeycomb.
For more, check out the all new AndroidForums.com to discuss how the update is treating you. Anyone surprise Verizon was able to get the update out so quickly?

Once agan, Verizon seems to favor Motorola when it comes to update. Just like last year.
Last I heard, the Galaxy S5 won’t get it until next year sometime. :(
Verizon and Motorola sitting in a tree…
Moto makes the best phones with the least bloatware & customization.
That probably has something to do with it.
Lollipop for Christmas doesn’t sound bad for OnePlusOne
So Droid Turbo should be next week, right..?
…right..?
Wow… this is impressive, and Nexus is only just getting it.
It’s a shame Holo looks better on an OLED than this new bright white Material theme.
what the hell att… let’s do this.
So that means my 4.4.2 wearing Note 3 should get it ummmmm NEVER. Thanks VZW, thanks a lot. Also, didn’t Verizon but into Motorola. Probably why they get everything first.
